Bukut man buki a. Siguro medyo sikwawi gina-mean na ay daw bukut bala orig ang dating, daw indi magrayu bala sa mga uso kadya nga ingles nga kanta nga ginasaylo sa tagalog ukon bisaya ang lyrics, pero nami man para sa iba.

Nami gid kon duraun ta na lang ra ang term nga “buki” ay daw indi run ria maintindihan ang sakto nga concept na sa kadya nga panahon kag degrading man sa mga tagabukid parehas namun nga kon kis-a mas may taste pa kumpara sa iba nga tagapatag ay wara ria sa geographic location kapin pa bastante run tulad ang access ta tanan sa information kag IT kag sakto si Lenah relative man ra sa nagapamati kag sa ibang factors.

Nami man gani nga bukut gid tuman kanami ang nagagwa nga mga kanta agud indi man iba mamayha mag-obra ka kanta ay daw acceptable man ang maski ano. Amo pa ra nalian ang mangin rason agud magwa ang mga nami nga kanta ay nagaduro ang nagakainteres mag-obra kanta. Ti kruhay lang sa atun mga composers sa mga sagad, trying hard, bag-ohanun kag nagaplano pa lang mag-obra kanta (ti dayona run ra ay pamatian ta!)pati man sa atun mga tagparamati kang OKM!

kon aton paminsaron, ang pagsolat kang karay-a nga karantahon nagahalin gid sa doghan kang sangka artist, no matter how mediocre as lyn says; well you are entitled to say the least you can, or the worst you can, that is well taken, but ask yourselves this… isn’t this mediocre songs as you say, has yet become part of the evolution of karay-a or kinaray-a music. tuod Ne Lenah, bisan ano pa ka boki ang kanta, it is part and parcel of our culture as Antikenyos…

there is no quantity in the kinaray-a music, you know why, there are but just a few of them who certainly spend painstaking hours and days finishing their compositions… name them all…who are they.??? isipa nyo bi kon pira tanan ron ang kinaray-a songs nga inyo nabatian???

no matter how mediocre and trivial… they are part of my culture… because i am a true blooded Antikenyo and a proud one here in UAE… gina pabugal ko gid nga ako naghalin sa Antique!!! that is one thing that keeps me grounded and humbled.

I agree with you Inday! A culture might be buki or awkward for the outsider but that is the culture and it is unique to every group of people or even to an individual. I like how Kinaray-a music develops even new songs are really getting bad for now (Quintela/Ruvido new CDs)compared with those composed 2 to 5 years ago. We will never know good songs will come from them or they will sound good to others especially to those who don’t really understand them.=)

Hi. wala man gid ako kasubaybay sang development sang music kang Antique lately pero para sa akon, wala sang buki. Ang musika ni Pirot, halimbawa, is as valid as the music of mainstream singers.

Of course, kada isa sa aton, entitled gid sa aton opinyon. But to declare that something is degrading is to operate from a particular base, whether political, economic or social. Who is to say what is the ideal and what is not?

Doro ron nagaguwa nga mga kanta nga nagabalik sa binuki tulad daw ana man ni Pirot kon bukut daw halin sa simbahan. While the quantity is increasing, the quality of the songs are degrading. Can’t we regulate the reproduction of these lousy songs.

Nami ang mga nauna nga mga kanta as mentioned. Kruuhayyy!

Yes, because kinaray-a music still needs to start to focus on quality and not just on quantity in order to excel.

…I agree with Lyn, their music sounds professional and the lyrics are skillful and artistic. Dante Beriong’s songs are also good.

I have listened to kinaray-a songs in kinaray-a website. I consider most of the songs as mediocre by standard except that of Tacogdoy and Salcedo.
